操纵台上，监控仪表的指针不停地抖动。电脑主显示屏的操作窗口不停地复述着程控的进度，屏幕的其他部分闪动着杂乱无序的信号。U盘系统正在工作，那位夫人的灵魂信息正在以数字形式录入U盘。

戈夫转过身来，面对栏杆外面的客人，对着麦克风说：“女士们，先生们：生命隧道运转正常，那位夫人正经历着脱胎换骨的变化，这段时间比较长，大约三小时，请你们到来宾休息室等候，请！”

“这两本书你拿去看看，掌握这个系统对于你来说不会是件难事，怎么说你也是生物学系毕业的大学生。”

仿佛是为了证明这位美女的真实身份，聪明的小女孩问道：“曾奶奶，您还记得答应我的事吗？”
